Dental BridgesBook Appointment Online

A bridge is a fixed dental restoration used to replace a missing tooth by joining an artificial tooth permanently to the adjacent teeth using two crowns (also known as a fixed bridge). A fixed bridge cannot be removed by you, as the bridge is held in place using the adjacent teeth. That is why it is important that any damage to these teeth is corrected prior to the bridge being attached.

After your dentist has completed your initial consultation and you are happy with the treatment plan, you will then be required to attend 2 more appointments (usually 1-2 weeks apart) to complete the treatment.

  • 1st appointment – Preparation of the tooth (Firstly, your dentist will note the shape, size and color of your teeth to ensure that the bridge will match your other teeth. Your dentist will then cut and shape the teeth and take an impression of your prepared teeth to be sent to the Dental Laboratory for the making of the bridge.)
  • 2nd appointment – Dental bridge fitting (You will return to dental clinic to have your bridge fitted. After cementing the bridge on to your prepared teeth, your dentist may be required to perform some adjustments to ensure the bridge fits correctly.)
