There may be options to lower the costs where possible; for example, having multiple fillings done in one appointment will lower your costs.

For any given patient, there may be a number of different treatment options available, each with different technical requirements, materials and components. When you consider that a Dentist must take all of these things into consideration to give you an accurate price, then you can appreciate why it is so difficult to quote exact prices, without having first completed an examination.

The cost of a filling depends on a number of factors, some of these include:

• Which tooth needs the filling (some teeth are much more difficult to treat than others)?
• How many surfaces are affected (each tooth has 5 surfaces. A filling may be required at one surface, or multiple surfaces of the tooth.)?
• What sort of material is preferred(there are different materials used for fillings, each with different advantages and disadvantages)?
• How much material is required (Basically this refers to the “size” of the filling.)?
• The history of the tooth (what has happened to the tooth in the past?)

The overheads involved in running a Dental clinic are substantial, especially in terms of fit out, materials and equipment costs. But Tooth-n-Gum Dental prices were calculated based on the average fees in the most recent Australian Dental Association’s annual fee survey.

At Tooth-n- Gum Dental, we are able to facilitate on-the-spot health insurance refunds, using HICAPS.The major variables that will affect the refund are:

• The overall cost of treatment.
• The health insurance fund you are with.
• The level of extras cover that you have.

We accept cash or we have on site EFTPOS and Credit Card facilities.

If you have Private Health Insurance, we have the facilities to process your claims on the spot at the time of your appointment so that you are only required to process the GAP payment.

For more expensive treatments or treatments where you are required to attend multiple appointments, we are happy to set up an instalment plan with you on request.
